Woo, so I've been getting practice done but I haven't set up stream attempts yet.  Need to grab my stuff for that, but once I feel I have the first two zones down well enough I'll do a test stream.

For those who don't know it's twitch.tv/taillow, but I haven't done anything yet.  Soon, though.

Stream practice is definitely gonna happen this month too, but I need to get a bunch of stuff sorted out first.

Just give me an estimate, what team you're using, any donation incentives and I'll add you to the list.
I... don't have anything just yet, but I'll be sure to have something concrete before July.  I would have started derusting earlier, but I've been sick the past few days so I'm just kinda getting back into the groove right now.

I will see if I can get a new game run done though.  It's not really a game that I can go "okay, let's go with X team for the whole game" since there's a few curveballs (Ocean Base, to a lesser extent Chaos Angel) and it's nice to get some variety in.

Hey guys, you should get on my back at least once a day about Sonic Advance 3.  Because I actually want to do this (especially since I have two months in advance (No pun intended) to practice).

Also I dunno how much time I can dedicate to commentary (Not that I was all that great at it) since I actually work for a living now.  I'll see what I can schedule off though.

Considering how random getting the items is (or at least seems), I wouldn't suggest it anyhow.  Also you only get one chance at using whatever item you get.  I vote no.

If you need to, you can revert a stat yourself by resubmitting it, that's easy.

No idea about the other part though, I don't play Generations

I'm still up for commentary as long as nothing gets in the way.  As for actually running something?  Uh, I'll get back to you on that.

In all seriousness I want to actually try Advance 3 this year but I need to focus on other stuff this month.

Of course, you're assuming people still keep a fat/lite DS around.  Especially with the 3DS around.  Sure, some people will, but not everyone.

It's more probable now with a 3DS-centric game that doesn't have direct access to GBA playability.  With that said, I'm just stating the facts.

Honestly I'm somewhat surprised they eked out BW2 on DS considering the DS was effectively dead (Although I wouldn't know how they'd make it on the 3DS).  Also pfthaha FRLG remake.

I don't speculate for stuff everyone knows 1% of.

Also oh jeez all the starters are great for once.

TSC Race Night / Re: Race Night 15: Sonic Riders
« on: December 23, 2012, 10:00:54 am »
Well it's six races, so not too long.  Meanwhile Babylon Story is six races and a boss race.  It's probably easier to work with story mode since newcomers don't have to worry about unlocking anything important or working with really annoying boards (CURSE YOU, HIGH BOOSTER!).  Also it keeps everyone on fairly even ground.

The main two paths are pretty much Hero Story and Babylon Story.  Oh, and grand prix, but seeing as you can pick whoever and whatever for that it's probably best to stick with either Hero or Babylon Story.

Make note that Babylon Story has to be unlocked by completing Hero Story, so Hero Story is probably the best pick.  But that's just my two cents on the matter.

We're stalkers, clearly.  Cleeeearly.  Honestly I just heard this from someone else.

Either way just keep your game on normal (It's not all that hard casually anyhow.  I like to keep it there since it's... you know.  The game as it is planned to be played normally).

Oh yeah, and Altar Emerald and Nonaggression aren't in boss attack, so make sure you have normal difficulty on when you time attack those since you have to hit the main mode for those.  But yeah, it's an easy fix, I'm sure you can get things right next time.

Oh come now, Growlithe learns some cool stuff.  And you could have stuffed it with some eviolite if it wasn't taking hits well.  Flygon's cool though.

So apparently I got the rank 4 trainer card after getting my black and white entralink levels to 30.  Whoops.  A shame rank 5 is uglier than rank 4 (If it's the same as before) since I'm still gonna complete the national dex later.

Assuming nothing comes up, I should be able to return for commentary.  With that said, I don't know if I'd be able to do anything else.  November might be a bit hectic for me to see how things will pan out in the future, so... we'll see!  I want to actually do a bit more for this but I wouldn't know if that'd be possible.

Not like I haven't done it before.

Also man, Pokéstar Studios is one of the best parts!

You do that.  I'm sure you aren't stuck with some prior engagements you have to get to without any more distractions.  Otherwise I'd still be on it.

Did I mention I got a level 100 party and completed the Unova Dex sans Meloetta?  I guess not.

Not much else for me to do aside from dream world collecting though (And national dex, which I'm not doing yet), so yeah.

Wooooo after months I finally have a 5th gen game with all TMs.

Thank goodness TM prices dropped and PWT is a nice BP grinding spot.

Yeah, but it's not impossible.  I think he's just trolling or something, though.

I've been in postgame for the past few days or so, actually I've done a whole lost.  Fairly enjoyed the game, dunno what else to say but I guess I could put up some team stats.  Also Victory Road annoyed me when I was going through it.  But I wouldn't call that too bad.

I pretty much cleared out most of postgame so I'm just taking care of minor things.  As for my current team?

Blade Jack (Samurott) - Level 84
Tess (Stoutland) - Level 83
Abel (Ampharos) - Level 83
Gatling (Cinccino) - Level 85
Yampi (Flygon) - Level 84
Shunpei (Mienshao) - Level 84

Everyone's been a valued member of the team, which is good.

You all need to race as Amy more.

And I finished!  My team post-E4:

Not many changes.  The E4 weren't too bad (surprisingly).  They had some pretty pitiful picks, especially my rival, who thought it was a good idea to pack both gender nidoran and a bellsprout.

But yeah that's it for me for now, maybe I'll do another run next year.

25
Yeah, that's a gen 1 bug.  It is annoying, yes.  But the damage still calculates out as normal (So dragon/flying takes neutral damage from electricity)

Anyhow, I just beat Sabrina!  It started out with a Zapdos mirror match, surprisingly.  But that's not important.  The TM she gave me was...

That cheap... certainly she could fork over something better than that!

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

News and Updates / Re: Where We Go From Here

Honestly the site just needed some sort of shakeup.  Something to show we're still kicking, while at the same time raising efficiency.  Or... something.

Also oh cool Thorn got the lineup.

27
I'm gonna have to try completely random levelup movesets next time.

My current party, four badges in and ready for Cycling Road massacres.  In order of capture, left to right each row.  You know, like the DS game party order. (Starter, Route 1, Route 9, Celadon Mansion eevee-spot, Route 7, Lavender Tower)

PS Jump Kick Zapdos is hilariously awesome, even more so that it gets STAB from it here.

Also RPG, consider using a color setting of some sort.  It helps with judging what is what type (Also you get stuff like yellow electric zubats).

28
Was gonna put Pokémon R/B Randomizer, but that didn't fit.

So!  This is a thing.  It is a hilarious and wonderful thing that has let me start with a normal/flying kangaskhan, catch a level 3 normal articuno, and gave me the first TM of... wait for it... pound.

You should all give this a spin.

(By the way that articuno saved my butt a few times with bug catchers that have machamp and kingler <_<)

I asked people about Billy Hatcher and PSO and Burning Rangers for being Sonic Team games, but couldn't get anybody to run them for the last marathon.

If someone gets me a capture card I'll do all that's in my power to practice Billy Hatcher.  Or I can try to get one myself and some cords or something but I dunno how much that would be.  Which pretty much amounts to "I doubt it'll be happening in winter unless I get lucky or someone else helps"

Couldn't have said what was in the opening post better myself.  Or nearly that well.

I recall OH NO being a bit of a mini-meme before all of this.  That's why I started using it during the Knuckles battle, at least.  I forget when it started spreading out exactly.

Anyhow, fun stuff, gotta do it again sometime, I'll commentate as much as I possibly can, of course.  Maybe I'll actually have the convenience to stream some games next time too.  It'd be nice to get a capture card or something, I've got plenty of prime games worth playing.
